Creative Writing class in 2019. A prompt question for my writing classes. I asked my students to answer this question by writing an essay, a story or anything that will showcase their creative writing. As the teacher, I had to give an entry too.
Beauty is Love and Love is Beauty
Love letters and poetry
Were long gone within me
Not because feelings and ideas were none
but because there is no reason to start one
I choose not my comfort zone
I choose not to be alone
I choose the love that He sent me
I choose you, even I am far from thee
To love is the most beautiful thing that could ever happen to someone. God is love. Thus, God is the source of all beauty in this world. Everything you see is God’s creation; the magnanimous shapes of stones, the amazing sunset and even the tiny mole on my finger. Each one of us were carefully and beautifully made by God’s loving hands.
Some would say that people need to be beautiful. That beauty only talks about face and body. Men have to have muscular bodies and good visuals. Women should get thin and clear skin. However, I believe we don’t need those. What we need now are eyes that see beauty in people in all forms. We need mind that openly accepts ideas and opinion. We all must have a heart that is capable of loving in spite and despite all differences.
Love is beauty. As long as I am able to love and spread love, I am one of the most beautiful things God has created. As long as I am able to teach with love, I will always be the superstar in my students’ eyes.
